Range fun with the Henry Evil Roy carbine......

Well rain was in forecast for this afternoon so got on down to the range this morning to try out this new Evil Roy .22 carbine. Also brought along my Uberti Cattleman 12 shooter which makes for a nice combo.
First I put up a target to see where the first shots would hit since I replaced the rear sight insert with one of my ghost ring inserts.
Well from about 20 yds. standing that thing was planting them in the red zone with 7 of them in ragged holes! No adjustment needed.
Ammo was the Federal Auto Match target grade 40 gr. Shoot a couple of the CCI Quiets and the POI was the same.
So on to shooting the collection of steel targets placed along the dirt berm area. That's where the real fun of rimfire comes to life....simple pleasure!
Was also trying out a new plate type target setup I put together for rimfire use.... the Chip Rack which handled the hits well.

The Evil Roy functioned fine with various ammo...Federal Auto Match, CCI Quiets and Remington Thunderbolts even though some of those sounded like a Quiet round....poor QC!
Later was hitting the swinging plates in other target area from 35 yds. and went back to the 50 yd. line to hit some of those targets on the berm.
Result is that the Evil Roy is a great handling little shooter that ran fine all morning. The lever action is very smooth and needs nothing. Happy that I picked this one for my .22 lever rifle!
