Took project trail tractor to the range today to try it out and all worked very well and then made shed space to park it.

Then after the work was done I gave my S&W Model 66 revolver a little exercise with some 38 Special and .357 Mag loads. Didn't shoot but 15 rounds total to save on my ammo but it was relaxing fun hitting the targets and steel plates!
All shots were from 25 feet and two handed double action trigger work. The ol' Smith shoots well and both of us could get the job done.
Load for the 38 Special was 158 gr. Missouri Bullet with 5.6 Power Pistol and .357 Mag was 125 gr. XTP with 8.5 gr. Unique and has been checked at 1250 FPS out of the Model 66.

Nice job Forty. I went yesterday with my daughter and shot my Ruger 22/45 Ultra Lite. Hadnt shot it in quite a while. Enjoyed shooting it again. It has a Burris Fastfire on it for a red dot sight

I can see that Smith is one of the good ones, from back in the day, with the pinned barrel. S&W makes a good revolver today, but they ain't the same quality and craftsmanship of the 60's & 70's era guns. Alway a fun time when you take and old friend to the range.

Sounds like an enjoyable Sunday.
Better than mine, I spent the afternoon burning leaves.

Well not that big as it is a K frame. The stronger ones and bigger in size would be the L and N framed ones. It has a very good balance to it
with the 4 inch barrel. Built in late 1976 early 77 it has a very sweet and smooth trigger and very comfortable to shoot.

Naw, didn't have any, we were at the wife's grandparents.
Just went to move couple tables, getting ready for big yard sale.
Next thing I know she's lite a fire, some five hrs. later, I said I'm going home.
