Was a nice spring day to have some range fun so I brought these two along with the M1 Carbine being the light weight shooter and the Hatsan 135 the beast of an air rifle. A 10 year old would have fun shooting the mild mannered M1 but might cry trying to fully cock the heavy Hatsan!
On the steel drum top target the M1 was shooting a little low but a nice 2 shot group which I later got it in the red with an elevation adjustment.
The Hatsan 135 was hitting high but a similar shaped group a bit wider but no full penetration. Predator steel tipped pellet may have made a difference. Later I adjusted the rear sight to get it on target. Distance was 25-30 yds. so nothing fantastic. Was amazing to hear that Hatsan fired pellet hit the gong that loud from 40+yds!
I brought along just 10 of those 46 gr. 30 cal pellets for the Hatsan 135 as that is all I wanted to shoot this day and you know why!
If you need a quick follow up shot with the beast 135 just club it if you can!!
No the Hatsan 135 isn't for sale..yet but it is fun to drag it out for heavy air rifle plink or two.
Had a great day at the range and range dog Ace is learning my commands to get out the way when I'm getting ready to shoot....good little hunter dog he is!
