Outing with the X this morning

Took the BBX out this morning for some fun in the cold. Hadn't taken it out since getting a new glasses prescription, which has done wonders for my iron sight focus. Removed the RPP sight for this trip to see how I could do with the factory fiber optic sights, which are excellent by the way. Really like the RPP too, & it'll be going back on. Not because I was disappointed with the factory sight results; it's just much easier & more repeatable to adjust for different loads. The factory rear sight is easy to adjust for elevation, but difficult to do fine horizontal adjustments.
Trigger on this one is really nice. Started off crisp & about 5 lbs, but felt noticeably lighter after a couple times out. It now measures just under 4 lbs & seems to be settled in.
This rifle is just plain fun to shoot.
Target is a tube full shot standing offhand at ~27 yards.

What’s not to like about shooting a one hole group that absolutely eats the X ring away. Nice shooting!

Thanks guys, yes it's a 357 Magnum. Nothing against scopes, I'll put one on it in a heartbeat if the day comes when I can't shoot a decent group with it using open or peep sights. It's nice to not have the extra weight & bulk of a scope though.
Getting the itch for a BBCCH in 44 Magnum or 45 Colt. Wallet isn't ready though! Just as well since like so many other firearms, they're unobtainium. The lever action bug has bit pretty hard, wish I had picked the disease up earlier.

Great shooting! Is the gate open a bit in the picture?

@JEBar, the side gate is excellent. It's not excessively stiff, doesn't chew fingers, and is less critical of cartridge alignment than either of the Marlins I have extensive time with (1894 in 357 Magnum & 336 in 30-30 Win). The 336 was pretty stiff & a bit fingertips a little. The 1894 gate wasn't as stiff, but it was very critical of aligning the cartridge just right while pushing it in. Went so far as to pull the tube & put a more aggressive chamfer on the inside edge. That helped, but it still wasn't as good as the Henry is.
@Sir Henry, sure looks that way in the photo, but didn't remember having any problems cycling the next round. So I just put a round in through the gate & did a recreation of the photo... same look, but the cartridge is definitely fully inside & the gate "closed".
