is there any process by which one of those gel blocks can be restored so as to be used multiple times

Yes you can melt in down in a block mold which they sell.

Well this stuff is the new inorganic type much more stable than the older kind and is NOT temperature sensitive.

thanks for the info .... for folks who plan to use very much of it, it would make sense to me buy the equipment needed to remold it
