My first Henry
I bought a big boy steal in 44 mag. I could only find 180 gr 44 special. The place I bought it (Basspro Memphis) didn’t have any ammo, I shot it at 50 yards and was 7.5 inches high. Rear sight is in the bottom notch. What are my options to solve this?
Thanks for your help.

Re: My first Henry
welcome to our forum, delighted to have you join us ... congrats on purchasing a BBS 44 Mag .... ours has proven to be an outstanding shooter and is a family favorite .... since it doesn't appear that you will be loading your own, my first recommendation would be to make a strong effort to find some 44 Mag ammo ..... this website may help in doing so ===> https://ammoseek.com/ammo/44-magnum/-handgun-240grains .... after you fire some factory 44 Mag ammo, if your point of impact is that far off, I'd recommend you call Henry .... be prepared to send them an email with a picture of a target showing the impact point .... if there is a problem with your rifle, rest assured that they will make it right .... be sure to follow the link below to where you can add your 44 to our community's total

Congratulations on your new Henry and welcome to the forum from CT. You will likely hear from other members about the POI, though JEBar's recommendation is good advice. Keep us posted. Glad you joined us.

Congratulations on your Henry 44. While it’s a good idea to be sure the rifle is able to shoot with the iron sights if you ever intend to scope it that certainly take care of your problem regardless of ammo used. The scope will have much more adjustment than the iron sights. But, as mentioned Henry will make it right for you. They take a lot of pride in their customer service. Fortunately I can’t attest to this as I have not had any issues with the two Big Boys I own.

Just got an email Thomas Kotz, he is a product manager with customer service. He is sending me a .58 tall sight and said that if that didn’t fix it, then I would send my rifle in. That is great service.
