I feel for you and wish you the best Jake.
My Mother is getting the injections, has been for a while.
She is worse off than you, if that makes you feel any better.
I too have very early signs of Macular Degeneration and take a daily supplement of Lutein and Zeaxanthin.
Diet plays a big part as well.
