June 24th Ruger 10,5" SBH 44mag 50meters bullseye

Post by ruhler » Sat Jun 24, 2023 1:04 pm

Today I shot some 50meters (54.6yards) bulls eye with my revolver 10,5" Ruger SBH 44mag, awesome day among friends. :D
Bullet homecast NOE rnfp gaschecked sized to .431 at 16bhn

Just wondering do I need to size the bullet so I can push them through the cylinder throats? or can I use .432 thats .001 oversized to the throats? I use this same bullet in my 444marlin and 44mag henry allweather but sized to .432 hate keeping same bullet in different sizes. :)

shootingposition laying on my back twohanded with support on my knees with a rubber car floormat between knees and revolver. leaning my lowerback against a triangular bent 1foot pvcpipe. This is actually a competition sport here called magnumprecision. Also used on magnum fieldshooting but then the range are between 20-130meters, shooting time and amount/size/color/form of target varies on the stations.

pretty small targets with open sights.

5shots 47points 10,10,10,9,8 on a well used target pretty satisfied :D

Some good shootin' there! I like to have the bullet I use just slip thru the cylinder throat with an easy push.

Great field shooting and love that Super Blackhawk, one of my all time favorite 44 mags.

Very nice, people always were in awe that we shot handguns at 50 yards and got decent groups. I was shooting .38 wadcutters. ;)
That .44 is doing a really nice job.
