These are my first shots with a slug and 00 Buckshot. I was shooting to the right a bit, not my best outing. Yet, I think that it may work. But, I may see what I can do with a slug at 50 yards one day though. I did not get it to hunt with. However, I do like versatility.

Skinner makes a barrel mounted peep sight, you might like that.

Another poster here made up a replacement insert for the buckhorn sight that he made from a hacksaw blade. Looked like he used the hacksaw blade mounting hole as the peep hole, and just shaped the blade down to work in the buckhorn sight. I thought that was GENIUS!

That would be our own "fortyshooter". And they do seem to work.
