M&P 15-22

Post by graywolf » Sun Oct 09, 2022 9:43 am

Couldn’t wait until the back stop was finished. Had a few of these Rem. Golden Rounds left, so shot some. Got some more clearing to do for 50 yds, so shot at 30 yds. Propped up on side of UTV again. I’ve got to buy or make me a shooting table of some kind.

It’s good to hear you are out shooting rimfire. That looks like a good group at 30 yards. How do you like the rifle? Any problems with the blowback shooting rimfire?

Rimfire and 410 is pretty much it nowadays. Days are cool enough now I can enjoy shooting. I like it. Had to send back to factory a few days after I got it for jamming problem. Just about every round. Took 6 weeks to get it back and no malfunctions since. I’ve had it for a few years but haven’t shot it much. Put a red dot on it and got to finish sighting it in.

Good shooting there GW. That 15-22 is a fun little carbine. I have one a I traded for about 10 years ago and I really enjoy shooting it. Mine managed to break the plunger that holds the extractor in place and the extractor went flying into never-never land. I replaced it with a extractor kit from Tacticool22 and it's run very well since.

Finish that backstop so you can shoot more.

Kinda breezy today. 15-20 mph wind gusts but decided to shoot from 50 yards for first time in a long time. This is last of the old GB’s I been shooting. May need to fine tune red dot, but next ammo going to be federal. Going to wait and see how I do with them.

Got to shoot my granddaughter's 1522 yesterday. Funny thing, it moves around just like my other rifles. Sucks getting old.

I like shooting it but I wouldn’t want to tote it in woods all day. Not that it’s heavy, just not comfortable to tote. But I’m doing good to tote myself in the woods anymore.
