Looks like some pretty good shootin, like the shorty. Looks like a short Renegade.
How long is that barrel?
And can we get a close up of it?

So what is a good choice of BP rifles for beginners. I see em in the shop and have zero idea what I'm looking at or looking for. I know I don't want anything modern. I'd love to have a pre civil war replica long rifle. Something military.

Pretty hard to beat a Pedersoli if your looking for a factory produced one. I would start with a caplock and then flint if you so desire. Flint is an entirely different BP gun to shoot and learn. Im still learning and its fun. Also nice to have someone around while learning those flint guns. I think you went once but Id go back to your local club and hangout. I know that those guys will probably let you shoot one or two of them then watch out you will be hooked. Those guys maybe able to also steer you in a buying direction. Maybe there is a club member that has some for sale that you might be interested in.
