Thanks, Tom. Surprisingly enough, that was the first load I tried. I'd like to experiment with different loads of the same powder, but gun deer season opens here Nov. 21, so have to try that later. Might improve, might go the other way. The season won't be over until the 1st week in Jan., so It'll be a while.

Good shooting there. I've always wanted a 45/70 but I don't think my shoulder could take it.

I does get your attention, if you shoot it several times during one session. It has a good recoil pad factory installed, which helps,
no doubt. I shot mine about 10 shots or so, some time back, left a yellow bruise on my shoulder that perfectly matched the pad.
Faded out after a few days. Not fatal, I'll keep at it. :lol:

Fine, so far, clear, love the duplex reticule. No complaints. :D
I am going to work on that group when I get the chance. Think I can do better, know the rifle can. But deer season staring me in the face, may not get to. Stay tuned, LOL.
