Blackstone and Weber on the Atrium

I bought a small tabletop Weber today to go with the tabletop Blackstone griddle. The outdoor kitchen is fine for large groups or even just for me but when it gets cold I’ll shut it down.

The atrium is a lot closer to the kitchen and will be better for cold weather use for one or two people.

I’m really getting into this!

Blackstone makes a good griddle .... Weber makes a good grill .... put them together and you've pretty much got it covered .. 8-)

I’m cooking more and heating pre-made food less now that the outdoor kitchen is setup and will continue to do so into the fall and even winter.

The atrium is uncovered and if needed I can take the tabletop grill and griddle to the covered area if needed.

I’m even thinking of taking a cooking class.

I jumped the gun on the Blackstone. I only did three seasoning burns before cooking eggs. The large one was seasoned more than a dozen times before cooking and no sticking on it.

I bought one of those Weber Q grills for my RV trailer. I removed the regulator and I can just attach it to my trailer’s propane system. It does a great job! Nice bright colors on your Atrium.

I don't know if you'd have any interest in doing so but both your small Weber and the tabletop Blackstone griddle can serve really well when traveling with your camper .... they both have done so for many years and we see many of them in campgrounds

I bought the travel case for the tabletop Blackstone griddle. Of course it’s almost as big as my teardrop trailer.

The small griddle is now seasoned. All the grease and goo is heading for the drain.

Nice and golden and not burnt. Golden on the outside and juicy in the middle. Fully cooked but not over cooked. About seven minutes on each side at a temperature just below when it starts smoking.

Even eggs don’t stick. It took about six more burns.

this evening my wife wasn't feeling well so I decided to drive over to our local Waffle House to pick up my dinner .... as I sat at the counter watching the fellow cooking bacon, ham, sausage, eggs, mushrooms, and hash browns on their well seasoned griddle, I couldn't help but think about your Blackstone griddles .... that fellow really knows what he is doing .... he cooked each item at separate areas on his griddle .... at certain points he combined them, all finished at the same time and none were over or under cooked .... as one who spent many hours cooking on one in family restaurants, I was impressed

we have a friend who has 22" Blackstone griddle they take with them while camping ....he says he's still very much in a learning mode and its not a bad unit overall .... he said he has had a problem keeping heat under it in breezy conditions .... he says the sell a windbreak for about $30 .... he says he's been using chopper/scrapers bought from Dollar Tree .... they are Cooking Concepts brand of Chopper Scrapers .... 6 of them cost him $6 .... he says he's had good luck stopping the wind from getting under the griddle and carrying away some of the heat ... he found that idea from somewhere on the web...
