Scones

Post by Sir Henry » Tue Feb 04, 2025 4:47 pm

I’m having people over this afternoon for cards so I baked these scones. Later I’ll throw a pizza in the oven.

They were made by the local latte shop and I bought them frozen.

My kind of scone. No icing, just biscuit, fruit and some white chocolate chips.

Interesting scones. I've only had them in Scotland. They are not popular in my neck of the woods apparently.

I see them everywhere here. Seattle had them too. They are good both sweet and savory.

I misread the title. I thought this thread was about the classic British rock group, The Rolling Scones.

Rare here in the grocery store bakeries. When they have them they are inedible. For some reason they think a glacier thick layer of gross tasting icing will sell them. Starbucks here has good ones though. My wife also makes them a couple dozen at time. Freezes them unbaked. We later bake a couple at a time to have with our morning tea.
