Long Ranger - Where to Oil (and where not)

Can anyone tell me where exactly I should oil my Long Ranger? I know there are typically places to avoid on certain firearms and this is my first lever action. I feel like the rack and pinion system could use a couple of drops of oil but it's brand new and I am hesitant to mess with it until I know what I am doing. I am taking it for its first trip to the range this weekend and would like to have it lubed up before I go (not sure if it comes lubed from the factory?).

The manual wasn't very specific about where to place oil. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I recommend calling Henry. My guess is that it needs little or no oil.

And then letting us know what they tell you. Thanks.

Please let us know what they say. I pick up my Long Ranger next week. I was wondering the same thing. A couple you tube previews mentioned oiling the ejector.
