Assorted springs

Hey Gents,

Was surfing the web, looking for a fix for the terrible trigger pull on my Marlin 25N. One corrective action is to modify or replace the trigger (return) spring.

Most of the guys are pulling the springs out of Patermate Flex Grip pens, which apparently fit perfectly, and reduce to pull to about 3-4 lbs.

Mcarbo also makes a trigger spring for $12.95 plus shipping, I'm sure.

But another poster suggested this, which I though were really cool.

Now I know someone is gonna say that they're not firearm rated, but neither is a spring out a Papermate Pen, and it seems like a good percentage of these old Marlins and Glenfields are using just that :)

Just passing it along.................

I snip a full coil off the H001 trigger springs. Most of my triggers break around 2 1/2 pounds now. Ace Hardware is also a good place to buy small springs.

We have similar kits available here, and they are worth their weight in gold. I can't remember the number of things I have managed to use them on to effect a repair, but rifles are definitely on the list. ;)
