Skinner aperture size?

Wonder if anyone might know what is the Skinner peep sight aperture size? Also, does skinner offer optional othe sizes?

The Skinner receiver peeps come with .096" apertures. The Skinner barrel peeps usually come with .125" apertures.

I've found the .40 works great with a receiver mounted Skinner and the Lyman 17a front target sight. .70 in dim light.
I keep the 3 smallest ones in small box for each rifle along with inserts for the front sight. I figure if I need larger than the .96 I'll just unscrew the insert and use it as a ghost ring.

Been shooting smallbore cowboy sihlouette matches with a H003t and skinner receiver sight using the .040 aperture. Target acquisition is fine, just my marksmanship needs improving.

I always take several sizes to the range with me when I shoot guns with peeps. Covers me for all types of lighting conditions and target work. I also use a Merit aperture which allows you to adjust aperture size and it will fit in the Skinners. Make sure you get the version with the small outside diameter for the sake of clearance, though.

I am mounting a Skinner receiver sight. I will attempt the original front sight first, but if I need to go to a different height, what type of front sight should I look at? I will use my carbine primarily for hunting, but obviously, a lot of target work also. Because it is fun. I like the look of the Lyman hooded sight, but do not know if that is an efficient hunting type. By the way, it is the Lo Pro type sight from Skinner. I like the minimalist look. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Not being a hunter (at least not since I was a teenager), I still cannot imagine a better iron-sight set-up than the Skinner peep/Lyman Globe/Lee Shaver inserts. Only if you went to optics would you be better off for hunting.

Someone may correct me, it wouldn't be the first time.
