So because of COVID I had a long wait but I finally received my Henry Big Boy X .357MAG. I love the gun but was very disaapointed when I tried to install the Henry pic rail as it completely obstructs the iron sights! I thought I could just pop the scope on and off since I was having trouble finding a scope mount that would allow me to cowitness the sights. This is a very poor design as once you install a scope you are comitted to it and nothing else.
I would like to have the ability to use both scope and iron sights due to my eyes. What have you folks been doing to the Big Boy to accomplish this? Please include links to parts if you can.
Thanks and happy hunting!
Guess who just had a birthday? We did. Henry Rifle Forums has made it to the 10 year mark. Thank you to all members, I'm glad you are here!
Dual Sighting
Re: Dual Sighting
Ranger Point makes a rail with a built-in peep sight. It can be mounted to work with your front sight. Putting a scope on top with rings that allow sight underneath them will work for dual sight options. Goodluck.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.
