Veterans' Day

Post by Pitchman1968 » Sat Nov 11, 2023 10:37 am

Congratulations to all you Vets, and Thanks for your Service! Although I am a Vet, I did not experience the harrowing situations that most of you did. I "rode a desk" at the National Security Agency during the '66 - '68 period. I feel good about the work I did, except for the 5 years I had to spend in the Navy Reserve following active duty. Bi-weekly meetings at the Reserve Center really sucked.

I didn’t serve but I sure appreciate all who have, do and will. I can’t think of a time in my lifetime that is as volatile as now and having a strong military brings me some comfort. Sure wish we had a strong leadership.

Happy Vetrans Day to all.

Always thought that going into the Reserves or National Guard was going the hard way . . .

Every Veterans Day I call my friend Sam. Two tours in Vietnam and is the only one left of my friends who were over there.
Proud to have him as a friend. We salute you all!

Thanks Randy. Sam went thru the ringer over there, but, came back ok. He's a lucky fellow and knows it. He's a heck of a man.
