Playing With A New Lens

I shot thesein downtown Sequim with my Nikon D7000 and my new Nikon 10.5mm Fisheye. Thinking that it's going to be a fun lens to have.

I like it, I don't have a fisheye but they interest me. I do have a 10-24 Tamron zoom that I absolutely love.
At 10 I do get close to the effect you have but not as pronounced.

I have wanted a Fisheye for years and I am very happy with it. I sure don't need anymore lenses but am saving up for a Sigma 150-600mm.

Nice collection of lenses, Whaler! It's no wonder your photos are so sharp! That fisheye lens definitely has it's place, as is "widely" known.

Hey, Whaler,

Do you live in Sequim? If you do, next time you get over to Port Angeles, take your camera and "play" some more with your Fisheye. A photo collection of the outdoor wall murals there (similar to your one photo in Sequim) would be really fun to see through your camera & new lens! Just a suggestion.

It's been over 17 years since I was last through those cities --- really enjoyed travelling along US 101/E-W.

Wow, great collection of lenses. I can't say I'm a fan of the fish eye, but you have nice equipment.

We live about 2 miles west of Sequim. Those murals in Port Angeles are something to see, I really should get some pictures.

I agree with you about the Port Angeles murals...I wish I would have had a good camera all those years ago when I was there. But I still do have the memory of what the murals looked like, even tho 'tis dimming nowadays!

Gosh, you're west of Sequim. That means you're even closer to Port Angeles!

You do have a lot of pretty country in your area, including the ocean so near. I think I'd be wearing out all those camera lenses living in the Pacific Northwest.
