There is a hook there. Miss Tina tied this Silk Dragon Fly Realistic, and this is one of the pair that was on Display at Orvis Richmond for Two Plus Years.
When I first posted this pic on our fly tying site, several folks didn't look close and asked when I was posting her fly.
