I would add that the depth of field that your lens created in the background helped to enhance those textures. Great job. If either of you get/read the "Birds and Blooms" magazine, there is yet another fantastic photo (on page 58) of a Hummingbird Clearwing, a member of the hawk moth family. It Is published in the June/July 2017 edition. The photo there looks very much like your hummers, but imho your photos are much better. A comment made by one of the bird experts re. that photo was "...they move very fast. You did well to get such a good photo!"
