The hunting hut is up

Post by Ozarkwoodswalker » Sat Nov 05, 2022 3:29 pm

Thanks to my son and his friend and the friends skid steerer, the hunting hut is up. Insulated, space heater, so cold and rain no longer an excuse for not hunting...

Nice I have a pair of hunting houses, one sits on the ground, and
the other is built on a 5x8 trailer, so it sits roughly 3-4 ft. off the ground.

Good luck on the season, got any pics.?

The largest box stand I had was made 4'X6'. I built it so my son and I could hunt together. I had two swivel boat seats mounted on the floor of the box and it was on an 8' tall base, so our eye height was a bit over 10' or so. We took quite a few deer out of that stand. I built the box here at the house but put up the frame on the lease. It had a good roof to keep the ran out and the openings could be covered if necessary. I was too cheap to buy the small propane heaters so I'd take a used coffee can and put a roll of toilet paper in it. I'd then douse it with a bottle of alcohol then light it. You'd be surprised how long they would last and keep us warm. A lot cheaper than those disposable propane bottles.

The picture can end posted upside down or right side up (or even just rotated) depending on which way the cell phone camera is held just before taking the picture.

If it was right side up on your computer 'before' posting it, it might not post correctly. I found this out in the early days of posting here and have many pictures on my computer now that are rotate edited, but when posted, post correctly.
