I always liked the looks of a Damascus steel knife blade but do not own any knives with Damascus steel blades.

Do any members here own a knife with Damascus steel blade or blades?

If so, how hard are they to sharpen and how well do they hold an edge?

being a fan of the Forged In Fire program on the History Channel, I also have an interest in Damascus blades .... as such I'm looking forward to the comments from our members .... from watching the sharpness and strength test they put their blades through, there is no doubt that Damascus blades can really perform at high levels
