It's that time again, in the Northern parts [way past for me]. Cooler weather and no firewood cut yet.
Dug out the Stihl 064 and dressed up the blade w/a file and trying to get some help and get cutting.
They put an oil well in next door about 3 years ago and old guy passed and his son tore down the house & gar.
Lots of logs stacked up and ready to cut and split, I've helped him a little here and there and he said "help you're self"!! :D
You can see the logs, sorta, they're about 10-12' long. Anyhow.... Lets see them saws, all you wood burners and northern folks.

When I had our house, I did cut and split wood for our wood stove. Also always enjoyed helping Dad do same most every fall to feed his wood stove over the winter time. Great exercise, and enjoyable to be outside in the brisk, fresh air. I miss that activity.

For some strange reason, they don't let us do such things when living in an apartment.....

Be watchful & careful with that chainsaw!! Enjoy those crackling fires.

As stated, anything with an edge. That's a great saw. I'll try and photograph my Sears light duty saw soon. When we retire to the Adirondacks, a Stihl will likely do wood duty.

Ok, I think people are doubting the authenticity of the photo, so I'll try this more recent shot, of the saw.......LOL.

Notice the black mouth cur dog (center).

Also Volusia County statutes requires every property owner to posses one of the following:

1) At least one Ford Fairlane be positioned on blocks within eyesight of the domicile.

2) Any model Bayliner contructed before December 1990 stored on a rusted trailer.

I just want to make sure I have all by bases covered..................

This has been a great saw, I guess over 10 years............

Hope you stayed safe during the storm. I talked with my aunt in South Daytona this afternoon. Lots of trees down. Power out. The road to my cousin's house in New Symrna is underwater. It's supposed to kiss the coast here in Charleston area tomorrow.

I have my old Poulan in the garage. Bought it after hurricane Hugo came through in 89. Saw a lot of use then. Fuel lines are probably toast now. I could probably get it running if need be. Had it running last year some time. It's a cheapo, but just won't die. Hopefully, I won't have a need for it.
