Well as some of you airgunners know Im awaiting my rifle. While awaitng my rifle I decided to buy a Crosman 2240 CO2 pellet pistol. It shot well with some Crosman Destroyer pellets. So I decided in the interest of playing around a little bit in ordering some different pellets. I ordered some RWS pellets. The Superdome and the Superpoint. My Crosman really likes both of these pellets. Im really impressed with how the gun shot both of these pellets. This target I shot from 15 yards using 2 hands with just using the corner of a shed for a rest. The target shot here is with the superdome but the pointed pellets shot almost the same. I like these pellets and will for sure be using these more.

There is actually 7 rounds here and the 2 out of the center was just me. My neighbor was watching the entire time.

I have bought many Crosman 2240 CO2 pistols and we have three from the Crosman Custom Shop with lothar walther barrels in 177 cal. They are very accurate with a little tweeking and fun to shoot. We have a 15 yard range inside and have shot well over 25,000 rounds between us. WE have the shoulder stocks on them with a scope. Oh yes..... my Russian wife can out-shoot me by far!

Thanks for the airgun range report, Al. That's some fine shooting. I think it's also a great example of how cheap airgunning can be and yet still provide good fun as well as useful training. Care to break down the costs for us?

Sure I can break down the cost. I paid 67.00 for the gun itself on Amazon. I see there out of stock right now the last time I checked. From my experience so far Id buy another one tomorrow. I then bought a box of 15 CO2 (powerlets as there called) for around 7.00 and 2 tins of the destroyer Crosman pellets to start with for 5.00 ea . There is 175 pellets in each tin. I shot up almost one tin of the Crosman pellets then ordered the RWS pellets with another box of CO2 cylinders. The RWS pellets were a little more at 7.99 for 200. Right now there is alot of places out of pellets and other items because of the supply chain being broken. But if you look around you can usually find some. I know I will keep these RWS pellets in supply at my house. I might also mention they make a fiber optic front sight for this gun. I bought one and like it alot. Its easy to install. I think the sight was like 14.00

Excellent shooting Al. I love the cost breakdown.
How about a photograph of the airgun itself?
I hope your rifle comes soon.
