In mid December I was ready to buy and discovered several places were out of some products. My guess is in another month their shelves will be better stocked.

Hard to say, Gene, on any one specific product. U.S. made products are still the most consistently available. Imported products, especially imported air guns, have always been a bit more subject to shipment dates and schedules, even in a normal year. Of course, the pandemic has thrown a bug into everything, so you just have to watch for the gun you want and jump on it when it does become available, even if you have to bend the budget a bit. That was what I did on this HW95 when it became available, again, for a short time, in 20 cal. For most of the last year, I could not get it in a 20. Guns in 20 cal have always been spotty as far as availability, anyway.

Went to Pyramid Air. They don't show that exact model, but the ones I did see were very pricey. :o

If you want to save money and get into air guns at a nice price, go with CO2, or PCP or a pump of some type, but don't go cheap with a piston gun. Trust me on this. It makes the learning curve needed to shoot them with accuracy MUCH steeper to the point of all but impossible with the worst of them. Springers by HW, Air Arms or Diana come with outstanding triggers and that is a great benefit when learning to shoot them, not to mention these are the makes that have been in the springer business from the start.

Not trying to be a wise guy here but what is the price you are looking at and saying very pricey?

Well...the prices I was seeing were $600.00 to $1000.00. Did not click to see details though.

Mark, a lot of what you were seeing at those prices were the higher end PCPs (and PCPs can go even higher. PCPs are where the bulk of all the R&D is in the air gun world). You won't typically see HW or Diana springers go much over $600. Most are in that $300 to $500 range. My 95L, no scope, just the gun was $490, but going 20 cost me more, since it's not a typical springer caliber. The versions in 177 or 22 are a bit less.
