I have been shooting my Rolling Block 45-70 using some duplex loads that I loaded for it. About four grains of 4198 against the primer and the rest of the case full of FFG allowing just enough space to seat the bullet while compressing the black powder. I get the accuracy and smell of black powder with a very clean burn. This is nothing new as it was used by target shooters when that newfangled white powder was new.
