Finally got back out to the Range with my .357

It was a perfect day. About 90 with a slight breeze.

I was able to zero in my scope and had fun putting 50 rounds down range. You can basically see me walking them down to zero on a middle bull.

Had a nice lunch afterwards at the neighborhood sports bar.

Nice shooting. It was good shooting this week for me also testing out my $40 Amazon scope. I'm a newbie to scopes. Got it zeroed as best as I could for 50 yard shooting ( that's long distance shooting for me and extremely long distance shooting for my brother). We usually set our targets up at 15yards just so he can hit the paper, my brother has a lot of eye problems . This week I set up a steel plate at 50yards and handed him my 357magnum Big Boy Brass with its new scope and said just put the crosshairs on the plate and fire away. He pulled the trigger and we heard the plink, plink, plink, plink, plink. He had a pretty big smile on his face. We took turns shooting 5 rounds at a time. After we finished up my box of ammo he wanted to know what kind of scope it was and WHERE I got it.

^^^^^Excellent!!!

At my age shooting without a scope just isn’t fun because I can’t see the results…

Nice. I need to get out and shoot, but something is always coming up.
I just need to do it.

Hmmmm 90 degrees, a Henry, 357, lunch at a sports bar. Sounds like the perfect day. Oh, add in those great groups on the target! :D

I am about to start the rebuild of the pistol range. So I want to do some shooting before I start that project.

Remove the dirt with the tractor and pile it off to one side.
Remove the wire/screening and tarps that were Supposed To hold the dirt in place..
Have the phone poles the electric company gave me free cut to length, I have some folks lined up to do this part...
Use the tractor to place them in the steel framework to retain the dirt. Secure them to the steel frame until the dirt can hold them in place.
Move the dirt back in place.
