Brian Wilson

A musical genius has passed on. Brian Wilson will forever be remembered for his incredible songs and record productions.

Paul McCartney said God Only Knows is the greatest pop song ever written. Maybe he's right. It has always had special meaning for me. We've been blessed to have heard the sounds of Brian Wilson.

Yeah, this one, like so many, hurts. I was also a fan of his work.

The Beach Boys music spurs many many good memories from days past. Good Vibrations indeed.

I happen to agree with Paul McCartney on that song.

I also agree, we were blessed.

"Don't worry, Baby" Especially the u tube version with Lori Morgan singing lead, with " the Boys" singing in the back ground. Played it a lot for the wife when we lost our second baby. It is strange how music can bring tears and smiles at the same time.

I went to my first concert back in 1958. I was 14, growing up in Daytona Beach Fl. The Animals were the opening act for the Beach Boys, who made them look like a garage band. My daughter and I saw the Beach Boys a few years back. Only one or two of the original members. The vocals were not what they were in the 60s, but it was still a great experience. Needless to say the Beach Boys were very popular in a southern coastal community like Daytona. Surfing was a very popular activity among the young. I loved the water, and spent a lot of time at the beach, but never got into surfing for some reason.

I'm just gonna guess that it was about ten years later than that and that it was as awesome as you remember.

Yep, 1968. Fumble fingers on the keyboard.

I saw the Beach Boys 5 times during my high school years in the 70's. When asked at lunch one day what did you do do over the weekend I said " I went to the Beach Boys concert". I was severely mocked by a few of the rockers at the table, for months after that they constantly ragged on me anytime a concert was mentioned. All I ever responded was you don't know what your missing. Finally a friend convinced these guys to go to the next Beach Boys concert when they came back to Philadelphia . Well these guys couldn't stop talking about what a great time they had going , I didn't have the heart to tell these same guys that the show they saw was not the best performance of the Beach Boys I ever saw. RIP Brian Wilson, RIP Dennis Wilson
