My brother had it for 50 years until he died...he could never decide to get it back up and running....would not or could not trust anyone to do the job.
Now his son and daughter own it and they can't decide what to do with it or don't want to put the money in it. Leaning heavy towards selling it to highest bidder.
So here it sits waiting it's fate.

I can fully understand the hesitation. The price to do anything to make it go again is just more than some people want to spend. I guess it depends on your priorities with your extra spending money

As it sits with most of the correct parts and disassembled Hemi engine it is a $100,000 to 125,000 car to a collector. Yes "correct" factory parts are very expensive for the little things needed. I tried to buy it from him 20 years ago to get it running again but he would not sell it. Now it's just the wrong time in my life to mess with it and I have my Mustang for the need for speed. Most likely it will sell and they will split the money and spend on other crap. I'm the only one now with the memories of the FUN we had with it at a great time when you could really enjoy a muscle car.

Well if they decide to sell it somebody is going to get real lucky even if it’s expensive. A very rare opportunity for sure.

You have to love classics to do anything with it. I am more of a GM fan. Yet, I would probably thinking about doing something with a Mustang GT.

That is a beautiful ride and someone would be lucky to own it. I can see it going to good money. Much better if the engine were finished and re-installed in the car. However the right buyer would likely want to do that job themselves... so it's a toss up.

If I came into stupid money and took care of everything else on the wish list... and had car money left over, my dream car would be a custom 69 Mustang Mach 1, A Shelby GT 500, or a 68 firebird or Camaro built the way I wanted it. I wouldn't drive it much, but Those were the cars of MY youth. I have memories related to them. (I NEVER owned the hot cars, but knew friends who did.) I did own a 64-1/2 mustang with a 200 six banger and three speed manual, and a 67 firebird. The Bird looked good, but had a 326 with a 2 speed auto in it. It was NOT a high performance racing machine. I did own a 65 T-bird... that car was cool...
