I put the a/c up today. I’m amazed the window unit keeps the entire house cool. Even more important is it keeps the relative humidity down.

It’s in the upstairs spare bedroom and since heat rises it works out great.

That is about the only reason we use our AC. Living under the trees and with summer nighttime temps (windows open) we almost never need to run the AC for cooling.

We had a light frost two nights ago then it hit the 70’s in full sunshine.

There aren’t many trees around my house. It gets full sunshine year round. I love it in the winter. In the summer I lower the outside blinds.

With our previous house, we did that too.

OK, you made me do it. I lowered the thermostat and turned it on. Hoooray! It works again.
It's probably going to hit 95 here tomorrow. We might need it to get to sleep upstairs.
I also power washed the front deck and as long as I had it out, I did the Yard Sport 4- wheeler
and my Toro zero turn mower as well.
Spring is here.

We also have lots of tree air conditioning, but in a three story house the bedrooms on
the third floor can get pretty hot so we used it to cool them down in the evening.

Similar here as well. 3rd floor guest rooms get hot and we open those windows overnight. The basement (1st floor) is a walkout, but in ground on 3 sides. It's usually pretty chilly down there. We'll often run the furnace fan to circulate some that chill air to the other floors. Main floor, we'll open those windows as well overnight. Wide in the summer and a crack in the winter. Love sleeping in a cold room but snuggly warm bed.
