I drink a lot of coffee. Mostly K-cups at home. I was running a little low so I made a Wally World run and bought four 60 cup boxes and four 48 cup boxes. I may buy more in the next few days.

What are you stockpiling?

I used K cups when I was laid up with a broken leg. My stepson and daughter in law gave me a nice Keurig.
I use Chockfullonuts with a small mix of whatever blend I pick up at Aldi's. I use the drip maker we've had for almost 20 years. I prefer percolated coffee, but when the last electric one crapped out, I find the stovetop ones hard to keep warm.
I drink almost a pot a day on days off. I have to keep hitting the brew button every two hours and it lasts until about 1 or 2 in the afternoon.
If I thought prices of coffee was going to dramatically go up, I'd buy several cans of my brand and stockpile. I find it lasts well on the shelf unopened.

Costa Rican whole bean. 5lbs for $50. Have a burr grinder and a Bunn coffee maker. My indulgence day starter. Coffee goes into a thermos and I sip it all day.

I go out for a latte almost everyday but I also drink all day long at home. K-cups are great if you use a lot of cream. If you drink it black it’s so-so. My neighbor has a French press and it makes the best coffee.

Coffee has almost doubled in price in the last few years and it may double in the next year.

Before retiring I'd drink 3-4 cups a day. Kept me awake an on point. After retiring, I rarely have a cup. I will when we go out for breakfast which is also a rare occasion.
We do have a Keurig and Nespresso and a small supply for pods for guests. Also still have an electric drip in the back of the cupboard. No grounds for it though and probably no filters. We might still have a french press, but haven't seen it in a while. No plans to stock up, what little we have will last awhile. I do drink strong black tea. PGTips brand.

I drink a lot of Oolong tea also.

I still do my Camano Island coffee. We get two four-pound bags. My go-to beans are Papua New Guinea light roast and Guatemala light roast.

I drink my coffee black, tea too. The only thing I might put in it is a small drop of Amaretto or honey on a very rare occasion.

I drink mu Black Rifle in the morning. One cup is all. I have a splash of whole milk to sweeten it just a bit.
Then I go to bottled water for the rest of the day.
I'm trying to keep my Kidneys working and my doctor happy.

Nothin but black coffee for me fresh ground beans. We have a coffee maker that you just pour beans into select how many cups you want and it grinds and brews it . I love it.

Currently we have this Keurig combination drip (12 cup) and K cup. We don’t use the K cup but when her son visits he does use it. Note we have two insulated steel decanters, as one gets low we will start another pot using the spare. They keep the coffee hot for several hours.

For coffee we like the standard Folgers Classic which is a medium blend. We buy the 43.5 oz big can from Costco who often puts it on sale. A few bucks off the regular price with a limit of 5 so that’s what I buy. Until about a year ago it was regularly priced at $9.99 but now it’s 12.99 going on sale for 10.99.

I buy the same coffee in K-cups. I also like the Black Silk. I should buy the ground coffee and perk it as it’s a lot less. My problem is it sits around and turns bitter. The K-cups aren’t as good freshly brewed but you can brew it by the cup and a fresh K-cup is better than four hour perked.

I'm the coffee drinker in our house, the wife will on occasion have a cup.
We have a similar pot to what Hatch described with a reg. pot on the left and k cup on the left.
I usually do 10 cups and have never used the k cups. Our son is staying at the house while we are out of town and says he likes the k cup thing.
Also like Hatch, lol, sounding like a broken record, but I like the Folgers Classic too.
The youngest daughter gifted me a bag of some Spirit of '76 med. Black Rifle coffee.
So I switch back and forth.

Edit: the coffee pot below is not ours, we're at the daughter's for a couple days.

Oh, I like it black, with a touch of sugar only.
Growing up, Dad took his black with a little sugar, and mother just used milk.
I don't think she used a creamer, not positive as that was a long time ago.

Gene, I've tried that Black Silk and I liked okay, it's not bad and I could survive on it also.

When I have a cup at home, I use the Dunkin Donuts K-cup. I also have their hot chocolate k-cups.

How many of you remember the sky rocking coffee prices in the 1970's? Inflation was so bad back then for a while the government instituted mandatory limit on price increases.
Not just coffee prices running amuck. Sugar was too. The DOJ went after the sugar companies for colluding, gouging and price-fixing. Testors got sued for raising the price of model paints from 15c per bottle to 19c.

Here in Spokane thankfully we didn’t have gas lines that long maybe just a few cars. But my wife living in LA in the 70’s tells me stories just like what you mentioned, 2+ hours.
