My pair of old Primos trail cameras got to the point they would not turn on any longer so I found a sale on Midway USA for a deal on a pair of Stealthcam QS20 cameras. Set one up in backyard to see what it would do and of course my old Apple Ipad could not display the new AV1 video format. My iPad was getting a bit slow so went to the local Best Buy and found a deal on a new much better Apple iPad.
Meanwhile I took both of my old cameras apart and cleaned up the battery and power switch contacts. Taking one of these Primos cameras apart was like pages in a book. First the back cover removed and four screws to remove the first circuit board still attached by a ribbon connector. Then 4 more screws removed to remove the next board and the finally the last board with power switch. A spray of Brake Clean and worked the switch back and forth several times and put back together and they turned on. Set those up in the yard and both work as they should for now. I then took them down to the range and put them in place and will check for any videos soon.
One thing I don't like about the new cameras is the video does not show the time stamp on replay but does show it on the file when loaded on my new iPad. Now it might show it if I download it to my computer and will try that later. Will move the new units to the range soon and might luck out and have 4 cameras available which would be great to have.
BTW the new iPad is a bit larger and has stereo sound and much more volume than the old on plus a better HD picture quality.
