My neighbor is an artist and I commissioned her to paint a picture of my house. I took a picture of it the first winter I was here and gave it to her to paint. This is the end result.

Sweet! As you know, our winters can be so dreary, but she created a scene that is bright and cheery. The house looks so warm and cozy. I really like it.

Very nice, a treasure to be sure.

Yes she really made it a warm scene. The picture I gave her was taken with the lights out so I gave her a picture from the same angle taken in the summer dusk with the lights on. She combined the two. She also asked me if she could make it less blue. Again I said yes and told her to do whatever she felt.

The next painting will be a fall scene taken from Timms Hill.

Me too other than to say she sure captured the warmth of winter if that makes sense!

My fall scene is completed. I took an extreme telephoto from Timms Hill and she painted it. The picture is 30”x40” and this picture shows the relative size.

Really like them both Gene but that fall scene one is outstanding.

Not many of us are lucky enough to have an artist for a neighbor. Good for you, Gene.
