Winter Scene

My neighbor is an artist and I commissioned her to paint a picture of my house. I took a picture of it the first winter I was here and gave it to her to paint. This is the end result.

Sweet! As you know, our winters can be so dreary, but she created a scene that is bright and cheery. The house looks so warm and cozy. I really like it.

Yes she really made it a warm scene. The picture I gave her was taken with the lights out so I gave her a picture from the same angle taken in the summer dusk with the lights on. She combined the two. She also asked me if she could make it less blue. Again I said yes and told her to do whatever she felt.

The next painting will be a fall scene taken from Timms Hill.

My fall scene is completed. I took an extreme telephoto from Timms Hill and she painted it. The picture is 30”x40” and this picture shows the relative size.
