Or is this odd?

When we went to Hobby Lobby for material for Miss Ts Quilts for Valor project, and supplies for sheaths and holsters for me, I saw a coffee mug that I thought would work as a replacement for me. (It said "Trophy Husband" I thought it would give Miss T a laugh every morning.) I turned it over to check the price and saw two additional lines that gave me pause:

Not Dishwasher Safe...

Okay, I'm cool with rinsing and drying on the counter. In fact, I had a Mustang LT in the Corps with a "Rinse and Dry" Marine Coffee Mug he'd had since Parris Island graduation. After more than twenty years, he could add hot water to the stained insides of the cup, and get weak coffee. :P

The other line though...

Not Food Safe...

Really? I checked and the entire display of coffee mugs: cutesy sayings, cat pics, religious images, best dad, greatest grandma, golf is therapy... All of them.

Coffee ☕ Mugs

Not Food Safe, guess they are pencil holders.

Was it Made in China? A lot of stuff imported from China isn't food safe -- including the food. ;)

Hobby Lobby, good chance.
I just found it funny.

Coffee.Cup, not food safe.
How many people actually read a label?

There are some restaurants that should have that on their menus!

With coffee classed as a beverage/drink and not a food, it should be safe right?
