Cap and ball cylinder loading stand question?

What do my cap ball friends here use to load up the cylinders off the revolvers? Getting ready to shoot my 36 cal Pepperbox and will use my drill press here at shop for the first 6 rounds but will make a portable version or purchase one.

I just load mine in the revolver, but I know they do make table top type press.
I just never bothered.

Made this portable/collapsible stand a few years ago. Works well on the bench and can be clamped down if needed. You do need to fit it to your gun so that you can have it on half cock for loading. Some scrap 3/4" walnut and a small box lid I had on hand. I've seen commercial similar stands on-line, but can't recall where.

Well the Pepper box revolver is just a cylinder with no barrel and you remove it to load. After looking around I have materials in hand to build one like this. Already have a base for it and a length of 7/8ths steel rod. Thanks for the help guys!

Thanks. Wasn't hard. Only took about 30 min after I started making sawdust.

You can make a workable primitive stand if you have a small sapling or tree branch handy, with a decent knife, a shoestring (or vine), a rock and a little imagination. Seriously.
