A little Cloud Action....
Took Fiona for her nightly ride and what did we see? This cloud formation was over the pasture just about 1/2 mile behind us. The large 60 acre hay field beside me backs up to the road I'm sitting on taking the pics.

We had severe thunderstorm warnings, and were hoping for some rain....

They got rain all around us, but the geography tends to guide the storms around us. Good when there are tornados tearing up the landscape, but...
We could USE the rain.

Very interesting cloud formation, and you managed to catch some lightning in the first one.
Good job. Lightning is hard to catch.

Lightning IS hard to catch my friend. I shot about 35 pictures. A worried Miss T was watching a different view of the same formation from home and I got a text that said, "You need to get your Azzes Home, duh." She caught a great shot herself of the formation over her chicken coop. The Iphone shoots "Live" shots. I'd have the lightning just before the pic in nearly all the shots on the camera, but finally caught the lightning in the bottle.
My only shot that was even luckier, was during a impending storm just after we moved to the farm in the summer of 2020.... I just kept shooting as the sky lit up. About sixty shots. I got very lucky, I caught the rainbow and Lightning....

Gret photographs Marine. I wish I could send you some of our rain. We've had plenty this year.

I was thinking that the cloud resembled what we think a space craft would look like. Glad BOM didn’t get sucked up and taken hostage.

BOM, you need a Nikon Z9. It has a feature where you can put it in a mode where it will take a user defined number of pictures from BEFORE you press the shutter button. No, it's not a time machine, it buffers the last X amount of pictures and dumps them one by one, unless you hit the shutter. Works like a dash cam does when you hit save.
They're only $5500. You should get two, one for you and one for the wife.

Amazing photo catch.
Can also take videos, and then extract the frame with the lightening in it to get a picture.

I can take videos but our internet here sucks and we can't download videos from the Iphones, we can only download pics. I had the software to break videos into frame by frame and save the frames as jpegs, but a hacker locked our computer with a virus and we lost all our software. We were able to recover most of the documents and photos when our guy built the new computer, but none of the OS and the additional software we had added to the original system. MS Office had gotten so pricey, and I wasn't running the charity anymore, I went with the cheapo student version... the software with that wasn't very good. (sigh).

Videos can be downloaded from an iPhone to a PC or Mac over USB cable.
Ya MS Office is too expensive. I use the free LibreOffice. It's compatible with MS Office files.

I tried to download pics and videos using the charging cable from the phone, and it said I had to download some conversion program.
I looked at ordering the download cable made for direct download, and it was something like $30 and it didn't say if the cable allowed for downloading without the additional downloading of software from the internet. anyone know?
Thanks...

Nice pictures and as stated before capturing the lightening just adds to it.
