Miss Tina's Birthday Present

As I told you guys a couple weeks ago, I picked up a Mossy Shotgun for Miss T for her birthday, which was Tuesday. It was hiding in my Loading Room, which she never goes in. Now she has seen it and likes it... so here it is.... 26" vent rib barrel, holds 5 +1 and will handle 2-3/4 and 3" shells. The gunsmith had stripped and cleaned it when he took it in trade and the action is smooth and solid, so.. we are good.

It's in great shape for a used 410, and has one small flaw in the finish and a couple bumps on the stock. No biggie.
She'll get some use out of it. Next time I'm out I'll look for some birdshot for practice or next time I have some cash to spare I'll order a case. (Free Shipping that way.)

Glad it went over well. :D

Great present. She's a lucky gal to have a hubby like you.

Glad she liked it Marine, you said 26" barrel, I was thinking mine is shorter.
So I pulled mine out and yep, it's 24" model.
Last year I did a slight comparison with the 4 410's, and
at 20 yds. it shot a tighter group than the rest.

No, but she will shoot some coyotes and racoons. They keep prowling the coop. :D

As for the barrel length, the tag said 26" and I watched several reviews of the little shotgun after I bought it that said, 26" But I measured it and it's 24". It still beats the 18" barrel on the 410 Mossy Defender, which includes the 2" muzzle brake. To be fair, apples and oranges. The 510 is sold as a hunting shotgun and was advertised for rabbits and fowl. The defender, as the name implies, for self defense and is well designed for that role.

* edited because it somehow cut off the bulk of the reply when I originally posted it... sorry. :?

Nice I am sure it will get plenty of use.
3" shells is a real bonus for a hunting gun, a lot of 410 repeaters seem to be 2.5" only.

Its have to, not half... , but yes.
Me too, also.
Even though last year I was gifted a very nice Stevens 311 dbl.
But, my buddy and I had been doing some work for him and wouldn't take any payment.
He surprised us with them and wouldn't take No for an answer.
Said he had no one to leave them to.

I'm glad she likes her present. It looks to be in great shape. It was a good pick up.
Wish her a happy belated birthday from me.
