That lonesome 410 ammo been talking to me.....

Post by fortyshooter » Sat Jul 29, 2023 2:17 pm

Have 4 boxes of 410 ammo sitting there with no use since I got rid of my Bond Arms 45/410 Grizzly and they have been sending out those
enabling messages. I been looking around for a while and found something fun to put them to use and the price was right.
Stay tuned as it might show up end of next week I hope! 8-)

Speaking of 410, I finally found some at Wal-Mart. Between W-M and my LGS which I only go to once in a while, this is the first time in 5 years that a place had some. Winchester 9-Shot. Not my favorite, but will do. Got the last two boxes at $16 Each.

Can't wait to see what the fuss is all about, forty. ;)
Ya may need some more ammo, depending on the fun factor.
Not much of it around here locally.
I did see a few boxes a couple mons. back, I believe they were a bit higher than $16 CGB.
I let the 2 oldest grandsons shoot a small single shot I have a couple weeks back, depleted one box from the stash. ;)

My local shop has a good supply of 410 and will stop by and pick up a bit more. Now to find a spot someplace in the gun room to store the new shooter!

Sure like the way you think. I bet you didn’t even consider selling those four boxes of hard to find ammo and instead bought an ammo disposal device for them. Big thumbs up here.

I buy 2 1/2 in 410's from a public shooting range for $15.0/box......Sometimes it's AA's, this week it was Federals. I also reload 2 1/2 & 3 in 410's. I mainly use a Tristar G2 semi-auto and a Ylidiz SPZ-ME 410 O/U. For skeet/doves/quail and rabbits.

If you shoot a lot of.410 it saves you money to reload.

Picked up 2 boxes of 2 1/2 # 9 target shot @ 17.95 and a box of 3 inch #9 game shot @ 21 bucks yesterday at local shop to add to my small stash of 410.
Hopefully the new shooter....pics when it gets here... will be shipped out today from a small shop in NC. Supposedly never shot and built in late 1990's.

I picked up a Mossberg 410 pump for Miss T years ago for a song, and it's been a favorite of her's ever since. We too had a hard time finding 410 ammo, but she finally broke down and ordered four boxes online. Your post reminded me I need to look for some next time we are out and about. The prices should have come down. Her 410 is kept handy in case of predators cruising the coops.

Still waiting for my 410 shooter to get from Richmond USPS Center to it's FFL destination....25 miles max distance and it is now taking 2 days for the trip? While waiting I stopped by my LGS and they have restocked the shelf with 410 ammo . Nice selection and I picked up a couple more boxes. The cheaper target load at 17.99 was gone but plenty of the 21.99 for 25 ammo on shelf. This shop is couple bucks more for the 410 but atleast they have it. Now to find out where the heck the new shooter is!

Yep, me too, also. ;)
Here my 410's, left to right.
Stevens 67L
Mossberg, just not the tactical version like Marine.
Savage 311, and the little
Berika Arms.
I bought 2 of the little single shots, $100 ea., I gave one to the SIL for the grandsons to shoot back in SC.

Well it is sitting on a conveyor awaiting delivery to my local PO and then to my FFL dealer. The Richmond Center is a disaster for getting stuff out on time. I should have mentioned to the shop I bought it from to ship FedEx. Maybe see it next week sometime.

Here is a picture but not the one I bought. NEA 410 Pardner. Supposedly it was built in late 1990's and appeared to be never fired with all the paperwork. Looking at the pictures of it on their site it looked to be so. Clean as new with no rust or marks of use. If it gets here in same condition I think it was a good deal for the money. The CCH on mine look really great!

22 inch barrel on this one. When NEA was making them you could send them just the reciever and they would sell and fit another gauge barrel to it so you could easily swap gauges! This will be just a fun shot shooter at the range.

That looks like it will be plenty of fun. Too bad about the shipping center.
I'm looking forward to seeing it in "action".

Well here is the current situation.... Latest update said it should be delivered tomorrow at my FFL dealer which opens at 12:00 PM. The local P.O. is open from 10 AM to 12 PM. I talked to the Postmaster and she said she would be there after 12 Noon so the shop can pick up the package if the mailman gets there early. If that doesn't work it will be Tuesday before I can pick it up since the shop closes on Monday. Man...be glad when this is over and I have it in my hands.
