So I have had the Silencer Central Banish 45 unit for a while now and want to get the most use out of it. It works very well on my Ruger 1911 45 and also my Henry 45 Colt X model and the diameter of the unit is only 1 3/8 of an inch which fits perfectly with the factory front sights on both my guns.
I was looking to use it on my Marlin 1895 lever rifle for low power level one Springfield type 405 gr. cast bullet loads. The pressure is lower than .45 ACP but the tech guy said it is an issue with temperature and pressure and to use the larger Banish 46 which would not work with my sights. He said it is due to the aluminum baffles not handling the heat and pressure. Why not offer a baffle upgrade kit for it for existing customers? I would pay 500 bucks for a stronger baffle for light duty 45-70 rather than spend more money and wait a year for another unit!
Oh well so much for a quiet 45-70.
Site seems to be OK. Load issue should be resolved now.
Why not a baffle upgrade on the Banish 45?

YHM, and a few others used to upgrade baffles. IIRC Griffin may do that.
