I haven't pulled a trigger on any of my guns since last June. I think I just got burned out on all the loading up of all the guns and ammo and the other things to take to the range. Several times I did try to go shoot after getting there and getting everything ready to shoot the AR shooters would roll in and start blazing away with full magazines right beside me. I can't take the noise that close to me and try to enjoy shooting my 22's. My wife is now retired at 61 after 41 years in the lab at the local hospital so we have been doing some day trips just to get out. We also have pretty well turned my gun room into a die cast car room with many models and a lot of car pictures I framed and put up. Right now most of the pictures are 50's to early 70's Mopar cars. Next cars will be mostly Chevy with a few Fords that I like. My die cast covers a pretty wide range of brands of cars. I have Chrysler, GM and a few Fords. I even have some Studebaker and a Packard. I have pictures in my wife's phone and tried to post them but no luck doing it. So I am thinking maybe I will shoot again later in late spring but right now I don't miss it at all. I wish everyone a nice weekend and be safe.

That's the nice thing about being able to shoot in the yard.
Up to 55-60 yds, then have permission to use the farm next door, and
I can shoot some more distance when I choose.
Nothing wrong with taking a break from one hobby to enjoy another.
Soon riding season will be in full swing, and I will spend a good amount of Saturdays out and about on the Harley.

Good to see you again, bandit. I'm also in a shooting drought, but mine has been a matter of health issues since last fall. I do hope to get back to some shooting, though, later this spring after the snow is gone.

Saddened to hear that you've been ill, NCG. Hoping you have the best outcome(s) and will once again amaze us with targets and tales of shooting your favorite guns at the range. Take good care of yourself. You're a treasure in these pages.

ARs are no longer legal to purchase in CT, but legacy owners can still own and shoot them at the range. Just awful to be in the next lane when one of these shows up. Glad your wife is retired now and you two can enjoy more of your lives together. You're one of my favorites here, Bandit. Thanks for that.

Bandit I too like to pursue other hobbies and can relate to you going to a range. Sometimes it seemed like a major project just to do some plinking.

NCG I hope it’s nothing too serious.

I have not been able to get to our range because it is an outdoor range and is under 3ft of snow.

I don't shoot as much as I would like, but I haven't completed my shooting range at home yet. When I do, I expect to be shooting more.

Certainly understand bandit; I don't care for public ranges if I can avoid them. It's why I go to the desert.

Bandit... my room is a mix of die cast cars and guns plus more in the garage.I got started collecting them back in the 90's and accumulated a bunch.
Have a good friend who is trying to sell off a bunc of his and those are all Mopar. My collection is a mix of all makes and some special ones. One display case is devoted to the 426 Hemi cars and has an actual Hemi valve cover with the signatures of a lot of the great factory Hemi drag racers such as Ronnie Sox Buddy Martin and Jake King who kept the S&M cars race ready. Plus Don Garlits and the whole Ramchargers race team among others.
I got all the sigs during the 1994 Super Stock Runion event at our dragstrip back in 94. Most of those guys are gone now sad to say.
Have the sigs of the Tasca Ford guys too!
