I never really thought of Three Dog Night as being that bluesy but I guess some of their music is. Here's the rock band I think of when you want rock/blues. A lot of their songs were based on some early blues songs and it took many lawsuits for them to get royalties and credits.

One of my favorites, I have more Clapton CD's than anyone else except Led Zeppelin. I have all of theirs.

Bob Seger Turn the Page. The sax in this song is classic and to me there just isnt anything better than a good Sax.

Man, Thank You Guys for all this Truly Great music!!!!

If there was ever anything that can inspire a guy(or a North Country Gal) pick up his Tele/Strat Hybrid (or the Gretsch resonator in open D) and play that thing, it's all of these tunes! Thanks for this; signing off now, and picking up the guitar....... :D

Glad y'all are enjoying this. I might try to start a music thread of a different genre each Friday for a while. Nothing more recent than the early '70's tho. :)

Here's a couple more he wrote for Pattie Boyd

Layla Unplugged which is a little more bluesy than the Derek and the Dominoes version.

Wow, the forum is in a blues mood tonight! I have "East-West" by Paul Butterfield as I'm typing! Before that, "Looking In" by Savoy Brown.
Good call fellas!
