When ever I think of Franco Harris, the Immaculate Reception comes to mind.

He was one bad dude on the field.

That entire team was. #58 being my favorite player.

Jack Lambert, yes part of the baddest defenses of the time.

He was the first modern linebacker, who could do both run and pass coverage. His early career secret was straight-line speed and acceleration, but he didn’t have great lateral agility.

The story is someone dragged him to the ballet, where he watched Mikhail Baryshnikov perform physical feats humans aren’t supposed to be able to do.

Lambert took ballet lessons, eliminated his one flaw, and then he became really dangerous.

My Wife drug me to a ballet against my will. There were a lot of prancing fairy like men, and then there was "Baryshnikov"! No
one needed to point him out to me. His was a masculine presence that left no doubt who he was and why he was there.
After the Intermission his "White Oak Ballet Team" was to perform without him. I managed to get locked out when the
performance started and had to wait it out in the Bar. Carol was a little miffed. By that time I didn't care.

I used to enjoy watching Franco. he was an excellent RB. One of the best of all time. RIP Franco Harris.

Harris spent his last year in the NFL as a Seattle Seahawk. I don’t have any clear memories of his performance on the field but I do remember seeing him on TV arrive in Seattle to a bunch of fanfare.

RIP #32.

The Steelers gave me lots of football joy back in the day.
