Al always has great advice and posts some sweet rifle pics from time to time. He totally helped me start my 45-70 reloading adventure and haven't heard from him in weeks. I PM'd him but nothing back. Anybody hear from him?

I texted him a short while back, just checking in.
He said he was doing good and had been bike riding that day.
He said he'd probably not be back on the site.
He gave no reason, and I didn't pry.
All I know, and yes his comments and knowledge will be missed.

Sorry about that. He seemed to be a straight up man! Like anything, things have their good and bad. If I get a lemon, I try to make lemonade. We only come this way once. So, I try and make the most of what I get.

None of my business, but, it just seems logical that SOMEBODY here knows his reasons for disappearing, otherwise he would have announced his departure in a friendly way. Just saying....

Dang,that's a tough one. If so, he'd have a reason. Quess we'll see.

I, likewise, thought his presence was enlightening. He'll be missed.

He drove me back to Washington to pick up my Subaru and teardrop. Couldn’t have done it without him.

Always enjoyed his insights and comments. I hope he changes his mind and returns soon.

I may have a Yuengling today. It is not his favorite beer. But, it is mine. So, I might as well have a toasts with something that I like.

I Yuengling considered a premium beer? I had my first taste recently and I really liked it. It’s not available out west so I can’t buy any. Funny side story, there is a guy named Norman Chad who is s humor sports writer (syndicated) and he is also the color commentator for ESPN’s coverage of the World Series of Poker. Anyway, in his column he is always making reference to Yuengling. He’s such a joker it’s hard to know if he really enjoys Yuengling or is making fun of it. Our local hasn’t carried his column since Covid so either the local rag quit on him or he has retired from writing.

For those of you who have read his stuff enjoy…

Over the years, it has became my beer of choice. Second, Fat Tire. Both seem to have a robust taste. I mentioned Yuengling, because BigAl stated that he would drink it, while eating Mexican food. But, he was more of a Dos Equis man. Since we shared a taste for Mexican food, and I was planning to go out for dinner (maybe Mexican), I thought that I would have a toasts.
