Bats!

My beagle was on the scent of something, and upon investigation I found not one, but two friggin bats, one behind my tv and a second one behind our china cabinet. The first one went to bat heaven via beating the crap out of him with a Kleenex box, and number two got skewered with a hand held arrow. Don’t like bats outside, let alone in the house. Hopefully that is the end of the bat story.

Don’t know how they got in, but the house was built in 1930, so it has its share of nooks and crannies.

Damn! Bats in the house!? I'm afraid I'd be calling a drywall guy to fix the shotgun damage. That must have been nuts!

Bats in homes don't always carry rabies, but more often than not they do. A bat bite is often not seen as an actual bite. The standing recommendation for DGIF is to receive the shots anytime a bat is found inside a house.
I can't find the news links, but we had two cases here in VA where the bats once caught tested positive and the people living there were given the vaccine. Take it seriously. If you capture a bat, get it tested, (though you have more than one, so, i'd still take the shots)
The shots are not like they used to be.

If the bats were wearing masks you are safe.

Should we start referring to you as Batman?

Bats radar cannot see tennis rackets. You can swat them right out of the air with one.
It's lots of fun.
