What do you do at this point?

Post by fortyshooter » Fri Jul 15, 2022 8:43 am

Still have not received my Henry that was shipped to the wrong gun shop. They got it on Monday 7/11 and even though the original store had shipped an Over Night Fed Ex label for it that they received on Tuesday the 12th and the guy told me yesterday that he would personally hand it to the Fed Ex truck driver..... it is still showing as not picked up even after I talked to a Fed Ex rep on the phone.

The shop holding up the shipping is a 6 1/2 hour drive from me and in my State. Do I make a drive to get it....talk to my buddy that owns a small plane for a quick trip to get it....report this guy to the Va. State Police for stealing my rifle???? Have a had a full 2 months of dealing with idiots of one kind or another!!!

Depending on people to do what they say anymore is a crap shoot. Bout the time you drive down there the guy would hand it to Fedex.

After two months I would report it as stolen if the shipper can't straighten it out. Its my understanding only the shipper can change the ship to address.

What shop is it at? If it is near me i can stop by and be your recently temporarily adopted son who makes sure the damn thing is on the next fed ex transport. I will note that often fed ex drivers don't scan things in when they pick them up. they often get their first scan at the depot. It may pop up mid route.

I feel your pain. I've been down this same path as well.

Just got a call from the shop in Texas I purchased it from. He finally got the guy on the phone at the rip off shop in far western Va.
You can't make this stuff up..... the guy told him they tried to give the package to the UPS truck!!!!! WTH !!!!
So the Texas shop has now setup a FedEx pickup at that store. Don't think it will work and if nothing shows up by Monday the whole deal is off.

The place is Smoking Guns in Pennington Crap Va. Stay far away from there! No problem finding another 45X and have my eyes on another one if nothing shows up by Monday. Have the wood kit for it in hand.

Well it is finally on the way being shipped Express Overnight but for some reason scheduled to get here on Monday which of course is the one day a week my FFL shop is closed....which means Tuesday. If it's overnight which the shipper is paying extra for why the extra days wait?

Weekends don’t count? Or was it shipped on Thursday.

This sounds like the new normal. Simple things go sideways fast these days. I find it's usually incompetent employees at some junction in the process.

I hope to see your new rifle soon forty.
