Not a big fan of going to movies, but, wife wanted to watch "Elvis". Blown away! That guy who plays Elvis, knocked it waaaay out of the park.
Lot of stuff going on in the movie, but, well worth the watch, for us anyway. Now, on with the 4th of July! Beef ribs, fresh corn on the cob and beer!

Haven’t been to a movie in a long time. Can’t even recall what it was. But I do know what we had for July 4th dinner. Barbecued chicken, corn on the cob, and potato salad. Now my wife usually makes the potato salad and makes it very well. Today she stayed out of the kitchen and let me make it. Now she wants my recipe. Oh yeah washed it down with a beer.

If you ever get to Memphis check out Sun Studio where it all began. Cool and surreal. :)

I live about an hour and a half from there.
Been by it Several times, never been in it though.
Tom, I don't like crowds that much anymore, and like someone above,
I can't even remember the last movie I went to.

Plus I have no respect for pretty much all the overpaid said persons.

My feelings too. Actors, singers and athletes are low on my list of people I respect.

Pretty much how I feel about the Hollyweird types; just went with my wife, Not a lot of people and the movie was good. Movie was over, straight home.

Drove past a local movie theater yesterday and noticed all the windows were painted with Elvis costumes. Looked great.

King Creole was the best movie Elvis made. He showed off his acting skills along with his singing. Story was based on Harold Robbins' "A Stone for Danny Fisher", actually story about a boxer, but you know Hollywood, changed him to a singer. Carolyn Jones was also outstanding in this movie.
