Made couple of real deal Bob's Big Boy burgers and fries this evening even made the Special Sauce. Add the shreded lettuce and American cheese and man it was great! Along the East coast it was Shoney's Big Boy where I spent a lot of my late teen and 20 years cruising thru the drive in part.
Yep that sauce ran down my arm again and only thing missing was the hot chocolate fudge cake. Of course we have a Shoney's in the next city but it was great to make one at home. I had the Big Boy double cheese and wife had the single.
Will do that again soon like on a Saturday night! Heck if weather was good it was 7 nights back in the day with either my primered 55 Chevy....hopped up 67 VW Bug.... new Opel GT or the new 74 Z/28 Camaro or riding shotgun in brothers 70 Hemicuda. All depending what year it was.

Looks delicious. I had some minor upper GI surgery yesterday afternoon so last night was nothing but a couple cans of broth and a few jello cups. Got to have Cream of Wheat this morning, cream soup (strained) for lunch and dinner with some ice cream or pudding. Same tomorrow and then I have a week of soft foods, at least I'll be able to have some pasta, cheese and other more filling food.
Will definitely be going out middle of next week for a big bacon burger and some onion rings and probably a couple of chocolate chip cookies. No Big Boy's here, we had a Carl's Jr. that was very good when they first opened, burgers actually looked like they did on their ad's but they've gone downhill lately. I will usually go to a local independent drive-in if I want a really big good burger and homemade batter dipped onion rings. If I want decent and cheaper I go to Jack in the Box.
Back in my early days I was a fry cook at an A&W so I did eat hamburgers, onion rings and ice cream most every night, back then I could eat whatever and as much as I wanted and stayed skinny.

Just had home made burgers last night. I hate the fast food ones anymore. I like mine topped with Blue Cheese.
Yours look mighty tasty!

My Grandson turned me on to Wendy's Baconater. Now I love them. Of course I also love those big roast
beef sandwiches with hot peppers.
